THE ADVENTURE

Starting in Mid Wales, Adventure 001 gradually leaves the lower countryside behind as you head towards increasingly remote terrain and the Cambrian Mountains.

The route combines the Old Coach Road with the legendary Strata Florida green lane, creating a genuine full-day circular journey rather than simply taking you to one famous lane and back again.

Expect remote landscapes, technical green-lane driving, big Welsh views and plenty of opportunities to stop, explore and photograph the journey.

Adventure 001 is intended for experienced 4×4 drivers who are comfortable with independent navigation, technical green lanes and changing conditions. A capable 4×4 with suitable tyres and low range is recommended.

IS MY 4×4 SUITABLE?

Adventure 001 requires a capable, road-legal 4×4 with good ground clearance, suitable tyres and low range.

Typically suitable vehicles include the Land Rover Defender, INEOS Grenadier and Toyota Land Cruiser, together with suitably prepared pickups such as the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger and Isuzu D-Max.
